So, hi. I haven't updated my DeviantArt in a dog's age, though I've come to admire the pretties on my list of favorite Deviants.  I finally updated my gallery with my latest art projects, including a few painted boxes and my latest obsession: papercraft silhouettes from pop culture.  I was inspired by the insanely brilliant Olly Moss exhibition of pop culture silhouettes to try my hand at a few of my own.  Goodness knows there's enough pop culture to spend a lifetime doing it.  And it's *so* addictive!  So check it out.

Athansor suggested it might be a good idea to mention my blog here, and it's not a bad idea, since the blog is all about art. I have a blog I update pretty regularly on the topic of the Pre-Raphaelite and Arts & Crafts Movements (brother movements to each other).  I find there are endless things to talk about on this topic, and it's all incredibly fascinating. I've been meaning to/trying to get the courage to/thinking about joining for years!  But I finally feel like I have solidified my true passion to be creating in one form or another, and want to have an outlet to express that. My latest means of creative expression is in brainstorming, scheming, planning, and modeling for fantasy and mythic portraits.  I keep coming up with new ideas for projects, some inspired by artists like Mucha and Waterhouse, and others wholly just trying to express my very strong mythic and faerie side. There are a lot of incredible artists here, and I feel honored to be a part of it all.  Looking forward to meeting m
